Nucleus Pricing and Deposit Information

The cost of each nucleus is £250, with a non-refundable deposit of £50 required to secure your order. The remaining balance of £200 can be paid just before collection or delivery. Please note, delivery incurs an additional fee of £20.

Delivery Details

Nucleus will be available for collection or delivery from April-May 2025. We offer delivery to any location on mainland UK via Royal Mail, guaranteed by 1pm.

Nucleus Specification

These spring nucleuses are ideal for beginners and are bred for superior honey production and docility. Each nuc comes on 6 DN4 British Standard national brood frames and contains:

• A marked 2025 F1 Buckfast open mated queen, proven and overwintered, displaying excellent traits.

• Approximately ¾ frames of brood in various stages.

• Several frames of stores.

Each order also includes a correct travel box, essential for various beekeeping practices.

Health and Quality Assurance

All nucs undergo thorough disease inspection before collection or delivery. They have been treated regularly with Oxalic acid mite treatments, ensuring you receive the healthiest and happiest bees. With the right conditions, you can expect a good honey harvest, and these nucleuses exhibit very low swarming tendencies in their first year.
